A few of Cate's clasmates families had planned a trip to Legoland JB. We were game and looking forward to it since apparently it is not all that far away.
Unfortunately, the day before, S caught some tummy bug with the runs. E just got her results and we were not all that impressed especially in cases where we thought it was a direct result of poor attitude. We thought taking her to Legoland would be sending her the wrong message. We decided not to go cos of S & E.
What made it even worse was when I told C that we weren't going to Legoland with her friends, there was only a look of disappointment. No tantrums, no complaints. I toss and turn all night and eventually wake at 7am on the fateful day, ridden with guilt. Again, we have made it all about E by cancelling on C's friends. After much deliberation, I decided to go with just C to meet her friends. I am pleased with that decision.
Firstly, C is loooow maintenance. She is compliant and well-behaved the whole trip. We were blessed with great weather (although a little too hot at times), and great company.
When I told C we were going, she asked if she needed to bring her Legoland card. I was puzzled, then I realized she was referring to the souvenir photo card she got when she was in Legoland - Windsor 3 years ago. How cute.

I am glad that I decided to go with just Cate. Of course a family trip would have made it more complete but this is the next best thing given the circumstances. xxx
