I am rather happy to have an August baby. Lots of great people in my family are August babies ;) I was even wondering if baby may end up arriving on my birthday (6 Aug), but am glad she didn't. Don't want to not only share our wedding anniversary with Ems but my birthday too!

The actual serious labour was about 3hrs. This time it seemed SO MUCH more painful than when I had Emma and Cate. As with the previous births, I opted not to go for epidural (thought I would save some money - kidding!). Paul said that this time, I was actually screaming in pain while for the previous deliveries, I just gritted my teeth. I have no regrets there besides being slightly traumatised by the pain. The feeling of relief when the baby was out and you hear her cries was quite amazing.

How am I feeling now? Obviously happy cos Sophie is here with us.... Mixed feelings about not being pregnant anymore since we plan for this to be our last child.... A little down sometimes from the fluctuating hormones but hopefully that will settle soon.... So excited about having a newborn to fuss over.... Looking forward to settling into our new family unit of 5.
