We were fortunate enough to get to watch the National Day Parade practice earlier in July. Not all the props were there and also we didn't get to see the real McCoy ministers that Emma is such a fan of,.... but we had the goodie bags and saw most of the performances in their almost full glory, not to mention the fireworks!
On National Day itself, we watched the parade again on TV. When 8:22pm came, Emma and Cate ran over in front of the TV with their little hands on their hearts, to say the Singapore Pledge with the rest of the Nation. (Well more Emma, cos Cate hasn't learnt the pledge yet).
I am proud to be a Singaporean.

She is a HUGE fan of Lee Hsien Loong. Her pre-school must've her about him in some general knowledge session or something. During the NDP practice when the man came out carrying the sign "PM" she was really put off! Couldn't stop complaining after that. Anyone who mentions how lucky she was to get to go to the NDP practice, she will go into complain mode about how there were fake ministers. Nuts!
