Full Term....

View of my feet from my perspective
(Trust me, seeing my feet from this angle was no easy feat! [Excuse the pun.] Took quite a bit of skillful leaning to get this shot. Makes my already tiny feet look even tinier!!! In case some of you are wondering, I AM fully clothed here. In fact this picture was taken in my study)

Today I am 37 weeks preggers. This means that my pregnancy is officially "full term". I am a constant insomniac and feel a bit useless. Even the slightest strain (e.g. using a bit of effort to put Cate's water bottle into her bag!) would send my tummy contracting and all hard and uncomfortable. As a result, doing the daily school runs are so much effort! I don't really remember it being like this. Perhaps I wasn't doing any school runs while preggers with Emma and Cate.

Anyway, I am not ready yet though.... I haven't even packed my hospital bag. Keep procrastinating. Have tons of work to finish off still - may be part of the reason for my insomnia. Awake at 4 or 5am daily only to find myself working. I guess it is nice and peaceful with the girls still asleep.

I think Cate is beginning to feel a little displaced. She has somehow regressed to wanting to be a baby all the time. Asking to be rocked and sung "Rock-a-by-baby", she would protest if you call her a "big girl". Her response to that would be "No! I am still a bay-beee..." or "NOoooo,.... Baby Sophie** still in mummy's stomach, I am not a che-che yet." Poor tot, ... I keep telling her that she will always be my baby.

Emma on the other hand can't wait to rule the brood! She looking forward to being the biggest che che of the house. She talks about her new sister all the time in school (according to her teachers), and is literally counting down the days to Baby Sophie**'s arrival.

Ohhh... let me just finish my work so I can enjoy the rest of my wait for baby to arrive.

**I am using this name loosely simply cos it has stuck with the girls. We haven't yet confirmed baby's name. We love the name Sophie but are still thinking. While Paul quite likes it, he doesn't find the name "strong" enough.

"I have never heard of a CEO called Sophie."
- Paul

:O I guess he has high hopes for his girls!!!! I am assuming that he has heard of CEO's named Emma and Cate!
